MUMIO

A ZX Spectrum made of actual Z80 and AY chips — not an emulator in a nostalgic case.

What it is

MUMIO builds ZX Spectrum machines the way they were meant to exist: real silicon, a Z80 doing the work and an AY handling the sound. Nothing here is emulated on a modern SoC pretending to be 1982.

The catalogue runs from the ZX Spectrum Neo and the Sizif-512 board through cases, keyboard membranes and faceplates to interface cards, Kempston joystick hardware and video converters — everything a machine needs to be finished, and everything an old one needs to come back. Assembled and tested by hand in Poland, boxed complete, posted worldwide.

Hardware review

Board revisions and interface cards go through the same bench and the same scrutiny as our own designs.

Peripherals & interfacing

Getting period hardware to meet modern connectors — the converter and adapter work the Labs does across projects.

Small-batch production

Short runs, hand assembly and per-unit testing: the production model the Labs is built around.
